This Privacy Policy explains how Trip Studio ("we", "us", the "Service"), available at my-trip-studio.com, handles information when you use it. By using Trip Studio you agree to this policy.

1. Who we are

Trip Studio is an AI-assisted travel-planning tool operated by Tejinder Garg. For any privacy questions, contact us at mytripstudio2026@gmail.com.

2. Information we collect

We aim to collect as little as possible. Depending on how you use the Service:

• Trip details you enter. The cities, dates, budget, traveller counts, and preferences you type to generate an itinerary. These are sent to our servers to produce your plan.
• Account information (optional). If you create an account to save trips, we store your email address and a securely managed authentication token. We never see or store your password in readable form — authentication is handled by our login provider.
• Saved trips (optional). If you are signed in and choose to save a trip, its contents are stored so you can return to it.
• Technical data. Standard server and hosting logs (such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited) collected automatically by our hosting provider for security and reliability.
• Cookies. If you sign in, we use a secure, httpOnly cookie to keep you logged in. We do not use this cookie to track you across other websites.

3. How we use information

• To generate and display your travel itineraries.
• To save and retrieve your trips if you choose to create an account.
• To operate, secure, maintain, and improve the Service.
• To respond to your questions or support requests.

We do not sell your personal information.

4. Third-party services we rely on

To provide the Service, your trip details may be processed by trusted third parties strictly to perform their function:

• AI providers (such as Groq, Google Gemini, OpenRouter, or Anthropic) — to generate itinerary content from the trip details you enter.
• Mapping & weather providers (such as Open-Meteo) — to look up locations, distances, and weather for your destinations.
• Hosting & infrastructure (such as Vercel and Upstash) — to run the website and cache results.
• Authentication & storage (such as Supabase) — only if you create an account, to manage login and saved trips.

These providers process data under their own privacy and security terms. We share only what is needed for each function.

5. Affiliate links & advertising

Trip Studio includes links to third-party booking sites (for flights, hotels, trains, car rentals, and attractions) and may display advertising. Some of these may be affiliate links, meaning we may earn a commission if you book through them, at no extra cost to you. When you click such links or ads, the destination site collects and uses your information under their privacy policies, not ours. If we use advertising partners (such as Google AdSense), they may use cookies to show relevant ads; you can manage ad personalization through your browser and the provider's settings.

6. How long we keep data

Trip details submitted for a one-off plan are processed to generate your itinerary and may be cached temporarily to improve speed. If you create an account, your email and saved trips are kept until you delete them or ask us to remove your account.

7. Your choices & rights

• You can use Trip Studio without creating an account.
• You can request deletion of your account and saved trips by emailing us.
• Depending on where you live (for example under GDPR or similar laws), you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal data — contact us to exercise them.
• You can clear cookies in your browser at any time.

8. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information — for example, login tokens are stored in secure httpOnly cookies rather than in the browser's local storage, and connections use HTTPS. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Children

Trip Studio is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date above. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the updated policy.
